YEREVAN, September 14. /ARKA/. In a phone call with his Iranian counterpart Hosein Amir Abdollahian Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan discussed a set of issues related to stability and security in the South Caucasus, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.

It said while touching upon the recent developments in the region, Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of the efforts and messages of the partner countries to contain the escalation of the situation on the border with Armenia and return Azerbaijan to the constructive field.

In the context of achieving lasting stability in the region, the necessity of resolving the issues of rights and security of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh was also emphasized.

During the telephone conversation, the Ministers also discussed issues related to bilateral relations and reaffirmed readiness to continue the dialog on different platforms and formats. --0--
