Armenian and Karabakh foreign ministers discussed Karabakh conflict

Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and his Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) counterpart Masis Mailyan had a meeting in Stepanakert on July 5 to look into the latest developments regarding the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

YEREVAN, July 5. /ARKA/. Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and his Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) counterpart Masis Mailyan had a meeting in Stepanakert on July 5 to look into the latest developments regarding the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
According to the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Mnatsakanyan noted the importance of such regular meetings, which provide a good opportunity to discuss and evaluate in detail the current stage of the Karabakh peace process and outline the next steps.
"This reflects our priority goal of strengthening the involvement of Nagorno-Karabakh in this process. This is a very practical, pragmatic goal, because if we really want practical moves in the peaceful settlement process, the involvement of the conflict’s main subject is of key importance,’ he said.
The importance of real steps towards the formation of an atmosphere conducive to the advancement of the peace process was mutually emphasized.
Mnatsakanyan and Mailyan spoke also about the cooperation of the foreign ministries of the two countries in various fields and mutual steps towards the expansion of Artsakh’s involvement in international processes.
At the end of the meeting, the ministers signed a plan of consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Armenia and Artsakh for 2019-2020. -0-
