Armenian FM off to Moscow for talks with Russian counterpart

YEREVAN, March 20. /ARKA. The current state of the Russian-Armenian relations and their development will feature high in today's talks of Armenian and Russian foreign ministers Ararat Mirzoyan and Sergey Lavrov in Moscow, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement ahead of Mirzoyan's travel to the Russian capital.
It said the foreign ministers are expected to review the implementation of statements made by the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan on November 9, 2020, January 11, November 26, 2021 and October 31, 2022.
The prospects for strengthening cooperation in common integration associations - the CIS, EEC and CSTO, as well as coordination of activities at various international platforms, primarily the UN, will be considered, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
The Russian ministry said Moscow considers the upcoming talks as a continuation of joint work to maintain a trusting dialogue and build up the whole range of allied ties.
"We attach great importance to them against the background of shameless attempts by Western countries to divide our states and undermine the security architecture being built in the region," the statement said. -0--
