Armenian government adopts public administration reform strategy
YEREVAN, May 13. /ARKA/. The Armenian government has adopted today a Public Administration Reform Strategy.
According to Justice Minister Karen Andreasyan, the strategy points out numerous systemic problems in all areas providing at the same time solutions, which will be implemented in several stages: the first stage will be in 2022-2024, the second in 2025-2027 and the third in 2028-2030.
The minister noted that public services have already been reformed: single offices have been created in various structures and ministries, which have improved the quality of services. The minister said one of the directions of the strategy is public services, which will be digitized and streamlined to allow citizens to receive all public services from one place.
The second direction is human resources. The strategy, in particular, specifies mechanisms for encouraging and awarding the best employees.
The third direction is institutional reform, aimed at ensuring that the existing institutions do not interfere, but help politicians to implement reforms. The fourth direction is about strategic approaches in planning a political vector.
Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan will be responsible for the implementation of the strategy.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan added that the reform concerns the state machine. "We know that there are missing parts, there are also obsolete parts," he said.
Mher Grigoryan, in turn, noted that this document will play an important role in the context of the fight against corruption. --0-
