YEREVAN, October 31. /ARKA/. Armenian MP Ishkhan Saghatelyan from the opposition Hayastan (Armenia) alliance and a coordinator of the "Resistance" movement, set up to make Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan step down, urged today all Armenians and political parties to set aside their differences and unite for the struggle for Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). He also called on all to attend an opposition rally slated for November 5.

"Perhaps the situation will change for those segments of the population, who are not yet active, after yesterday's statements by Artsakh. We will again join the struggle with new approaches and new forces," he said at a press conference on Monday.

In a statement issued on October 30 after a massive rally in Artsakh capital Stepanakert the local parliament said Artsakh was not and will never be part of independent Azerbaijani. It also said that any attempt to annex Artsakh by Azerbaijan by force will be a gross violation of international law and an attempt to commit a new genocide of the Armenian people.

Saghatelyan noted today that the authorities in Yerevan are consistently trying to convince the people that there is no other way and choice and "if we continue fighting for Artsakh we will also lose Armenia and there will be new victims".

According to him, this is being done in order to "implement a traitorous policy. Saghatelyan said that mistakes were made by the movement in the past; in particular, it failed to bring to the attention of the majority of the population that the struggle for Artsakh is also a struggle for Armenia's future.-0-
