Armenian parliament to ratify EEU treaty by end of year - MP

Armenia’s National Assembly will ratify the treaty about the country’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) by the end of this year, head of parliament committee for external relations Artak Zakaryan said as cited by Novosti-Armenia.
YEREVAN, October 28. /ARKA/. Armenia’s National Assembly will ratify the treaty about the country’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) by the end of this year, head of parliament committee for external relations Artak Zakaryan said as cited by Novosti-Armenia.
After the country’s constitutional court provides its conclusion, the president will send the document to the parliament for ratification, he said.
The document will be considered at a special session if required, the MP said.
Zakaryan also said Armenia will not be tying the ratification with similar processes in other EEU-member countries, i.e. Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus.
Armenia will be ratifying the part of the treaty that relates to its accession, Zakaryan said.
Armenia joined the EEU on October 10. The EEU treaty comes into effect on January 1, 2015. –0—
