Armenian premier asks his family members to invests in development of Gyumri

Karen Karapetyan, Armenian prime minister declared Friday that his family members would invests in development of Gyumri, the second largest city in Armenia, which was badly damaged by a devastating earthquake in 1988.

YEREVAN, February 6. /ARKA/. Karen Karapetyan, Armenian prime minister declared Friday that his family members would invests in development of Gyumri, the second largest city in Armenia, which was badly damaged by a devastating earthquake in 1988.
Presenting the project developed by the Central Bank of Armenia and the Gyumri Project Hope foundation, he said that now he can’t be involved in businesses, but he will ask members of his family to invest in the project.
“It will be a greatest honor for them to be the first investors in the investment fund that is being created as part of the program,” Karapetyan said.
In his words, there are interesting investment projects which will produce an economic effect and will create new jobs.
Important is, he said, that this program is able to change public sentiments in Gyumri.
The premier assured entrepreneurs that they will have their investments recovered very soon. Karapetyan also said that a part of the $55 million intended for tourism development programs of the State Tourism Committee will be allocated for development of Gyumri. --0---
