YEREVAN, November 12. /ARKA/. Armenian President Armen Sarkissian and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met this morning and discussed the situation in the country.

Earlier, Pashinyan announced the signing on November 9 of a statement with the presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan to end hostilities in Karabakh. In particular, it provides for serious territorial concessions in favor of Azerbaijan and the deployment of Russian peacekeepers on the line of contact.

When the word of the signing was made public Monday nigh, a group of people, rushed into the government building demanding that Pashinyan come out to them and saying that they are dissatisfied with the signing of an agreement by Nikol Pashinyan with Russia and Azerbaijan leaders to end the war in Artsakh. They gathered outside the government and parliament buildings, where several dozen citizens entered the meeting room, continuing their protest there in a disgraceful way. They demanded Prime Minister Pashinyan to resign and cancel the agreement.

One day later, the opposition staged a rally on the Liberty Square in Yerevan. The police and the National Security Service detained some protesters, including the political activists and MPs who orchestrated disorders in a clear breach of the martial law. -0---
