Armenian President congratulates Obama on US Independence Day

YEREVAN, July 2. /ARKA/. Armenia’ s president Serzh Sargsyan visited Tuesday US embassy to Armenia and congratulated ambassador John Heffern, the embassy staff and the American people on US independence day observed on July 4, the presidential press office reported.

Sargsyan sent a congratulatory message also to US president Barak Obama.
Close partnership between Armenia and the United States saw substantial progress in the last years and the interstate relations have peaked, the message says.
The president says Armenia appreciates practical assistance provided by the US in both economic development and democratic advancement.
Sargsyan pointed to Armenia’s interest in bringing the bilateral cooperation to a new level.
Armenia’s president also appreciated the involvement of the United States in Karabakh peace process.
Sargsyan expressed confidence the US administration will continue its mediation efforts and help reach long-lasting peace and stability in the region. –0--
