Armenian promises to retaliate to the killing of soldier
YEREVAN, September 27. / ARKA /. The Armenian Defense Ministry expressed deep condolences to the parents and relatives of Vaghinak Baghdasaryan, an armenian army soldier who was shot dead on Tuesday on a frontline position at a volatile section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani by Azerbaijani forces. A ministry statement said military authorities are investigating the incident. The ministry said such ‘provocative actions will not go unanswered.’

"The death of Vaghinak Baghdasaryan is a very heavy loss. These steps of the enemy lead to the destabilization of the situation. Armenia will not leave unanswered such provocative actions, the responsibility for which falls entirely on the Azerbaijani side, " said the Defense Ministry.

Azerbaijan continues to violate the ceasefire despite calls by international mediators for withdrawal of all snipers from borders.

Azerbaijan has also increased its border violation on the Armenia-Azerbaijan front, notably in June when three soldiers were killed during Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s visit to Yerevan. Azerbaijan has unequivocally rejected call for sniper withdrawals, while Armenia and Karabakh have both agreed to it. -0-
