Artsakh National Security Service uncovers new case of high treason.
YEREVAN, January 13. /ARKA/. Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) National Security Service (NSS) said today that its officers have uncovered a new case of high treason.
According to a NSS press release, a citizen of Artsakh, who served at a military unit, was recruited in July 2021 by special services of a foreign country and obliged to collect and transfer military and state information constituting state secret.
The serviceman used various mobile applications to transfer military information constituting a state and official secret to the representative of the foreign secret service, in particular, his place of service, the type and number of the unit, available weapons, commanding staff, combat positions and combat duty, thereby committing high treason to the prejudice of the territorial integrity and security of the Republic of Artsakh.
The serviceman was indicted and put under arrest according to a local court's decision. The NSS said the investigation into this case is continuing.-0-
