Azerbaijan deliberately attacks civilian infrastructure in Armenia - Minister

YEREVAN, September 19. /ARKA/. Azerbaijan used heavy artillery and combat drones to deliberately strike civilian infrastructures in Armenia, Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Minister Gnel Sanosyan said during a public discussion on Public TV.

According to him, Azerbaijani shelling also damaged about 200 houses and private buildings in addition to hotels, schools, administrative buildings, cars, power lines, gas pipes, a medical center and roads.

The Minister stressed that Azerbaijanis not only damaged the high-voltage power line to Iran but also for hours prevented Armenian repair team from approaching it. As a result, there was a problem of power supply to Iran for about 10 hours.

"This was done by Azerbaijan deliberately, because if 1 or 2 targets were attacked, one could write it off as a deviation from the target," he said.

Sanosyan noted that work is underway to restore all of the damaged infrastructures as soon as possible. The damaged power lines have been fully or partially restored in most communities, the fixing of existing problems continues, he said.-0-
