Azerbaijani armed forces again shell metallurgical plant in Yeraskh
YEREVAN, July 14. /ARKA/. The Armenian Defense Ministry reported that a metallurgical plant under construction in the village of Yeraskh (it borders Azerbaijani exclave Nakhichevan) was shelled again by Azerbaijani armed forces.
"On July 14, at 13:40, units of the Azerbaijani armed forces opened fire in the direction of the plant," the ministry said.
The metallurgical plant in Yeraskh, Ararat region is a joint Armenian-American project estimated to cost $70 million. The construction site has been periodically shelled by the Azerbaijani armed forces for several weeks. In particular, on June 13, two Indian citizens working at the construction site were wounded.
The director of the plant Tiran Hakobyan said recently that the construction of the plant was paralyzed due to shelling.
According to him, any moving machinery is being targeted by Azerbaijanis and very limited work has been carried out for a week now. --0--
