YEREVAN, April 15. /ARKA/. The Armenian Defense Ministry reported the death of serviceman Narek Hakobyan.

According to Defense Ministry spokesperson Aram Torosyan, an investigation is underway to clarify the circumstances of the incident.

In turn, Kima Avdalyan, spokesperson for the Investigative Committee of Armenia, reported that a criminal case has been opened under Part 1 of Article 523 of the Criminal Code of Armenia (incitement of a serviceman to suicide) into the death of the serviceman on April 14.

According to her, forensic examinations have been ordered, and a preliminary investigation is underway to clarify all the circumstances of the incident.

Earlier, media reports surfaced of the death of a serviceman at a military training ground.
