YEREVAN, March 28. /ARKA/. Azerbaijan's approaches are destructive at this stage, but they do not diminish Armenia's efforts and achievements in the peace treaty negotiations, said Arman Yeghoyan, head of the Armenian parliament's European Integration Committee.

"Agreeing on this text (peace treaty) was not easy; the negotiations lasted 3 years, and, without exaggeration, very long discussions took place over every comma. In the relevant bodies of Armenia, from all possible angles, we analyzed every line and word, comparing them with geopolitical developments, and today we have achieved this result," Yeghoyan said during a press briefing.

The MP stated that Azerbaijan's reaction is obvious, but it is also important to pay attention to how other countries respond to Azerbaijan's reaction.

"The fact that Azerbaijan can react destructively is neither new nor a secret. However, how the world perceives this and how international actors treat these negotiations will also determine the success of the negotiation process. If we look at it from this perspective, we are currently on the right track," Yeghoyan noted.

On March 13, the Armenian Foreign Ministry confirmed that the draft treaty On the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan" had been agreed upon by the sides. The Armenian side stated that the document is ready for signing and that Yerevan is prepared to begin consultations with Baku on the timing and location of the signing.

However, Baku has made several new demands to Yerevan as preconditions for signing the peace treaty, including the reform of Armenia's Constitution and the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group.-0-
