Chile to develop relations with Armenia-President

Santiago is ready to develop relations with Armenia and will undertake the appropriate steps in this direction, said Miguel Juan Sebastián Piñera Echenique, the President of Chile, receiving the credentials from Armenia’s ambassador Vahagn Melikyan.
YEREVAN, December 3. /ARKA/. Santiago is ready to develop relations with Armenia and will undertake the appropriate steps in this direction, said Miguel Juan Sebastián Piñera Echenique, the President of Chile, receiving the credentials from Armenia’s ambassador Vahagn Melikyan.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, the agenda for the bilateral cooperation was discussed following the credential hand-in ceremony.
Melikyan presented the economic situation in Armenia, the existing investment opportunities, as well as cooperation spheres of interest. He highlighted the importance of activating the bilateral visits and works on legal framework improvement.
The Armenian ambassador noted there is a huge potential which has not been used yet, and the joint efforts may raise the cooperation level.
He also expanded over the Karabakh conflict settlement issue, presenting Armenia’s official position as well as that of the international community.
Chile’s President sent his best regards to his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan at the end of the meeting. -0-
