The Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjørn Jagland is visiting Armenia on April 16-18 invited by Armenia’s acting foreign minister Edward Nalbandyan, the press office of the foreign ministry reported.

Council of Europe Secretary General to visit Armenia on April 16-18

YEREVAN, April 16. /ARKA/. The Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjørn Jagland is visiting Armenia on April 16-18 invited by Armenia’s acting foreign minister Edward Nalbandyan, the press office of the foreign ministry reported.

Jagland is expected to meet with Armenia’s president Serzh Sargsyan and Catholicos of All Armenian Garegin the Second.

After the negotiations, Nalbandyan and Jagland will give a joint press conference.

Armenia will be taking over chairmanship of the Council of Europe in May. Jagland intends to present priorities of Armenia’s chairmanship and an action plan. –0--
