At  a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today in Yerevan, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen conveyed her belief that achieving peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan will greatly assist in fostering a stable future for Armenia and enhancing regional cooperation.

YEREVAN, October 14. /ARКА/. At a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today in Yerevan, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen conveyed her belief that achieving peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan will greatly assist in fostering a stable future for Armenia and enhancing regional cooperation.

According to the press service of the government, the two discussed the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the ongoing border delimitation process, and various issues pertaining to regional dynamics.

Pashinyan highlighted the significance of productive collaboration with the OSCE, pointing out that a vigorous dialogue has been established in recent years. He stressed the necessity of reinforcing the OSCE's role in maintaining security and stability within the organization's jurisdiction.

A discussion ensued regarding the advancement of Armenia-EU relations. The Prime Minister underscored the importance of the EU's unwavering support in bolstering democracy and promoting reforms, asserting that the adoption of EU standards across different sectors is crucial for the Armenian government.

In this regard, topics concerning the fight against corruption, the enhancement of civil society, the improvement of the business climate, and other reforms were deliberated.

Pashinyan and Valtonen also addressed matters related to the further enhancement of relations between Armenia and Finland. Specifically, they exchanged perspectives on the potential for developing business connections and attracting investments. Both parties underscored the necessity of organizing high-level reciprocal visits.-0-
