Former Finance Minister and Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) Gagik Khachatryan has been arrested for two months.
YEREVAN, September 2. /ARKA/. Former Finance Minister and Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) Gagik Khachatryan has been arrested for two months. Kima Avdalyan, press secretary of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, told News-Armenia.
It was previously reported that the criminal case concerns bribery on an especially large scale and money laundering on an especially large scale.
Gagik Khachatryan headed the State Revenue Committee of Armenia from 2008 to 2014, and served as Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia from 2014 to 2016.
A suspect or accused of an alleged crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty by a final court decision, in accordance with the procedure established by the Criminal Procedure Code of Armenia.
