Armenia’s president Serzh Sargsyan has appointed today Georgi Kutoyan as new director of the National Security Service.

YEREVAN, February 12. /ARKA/. Armenia’s president Serzh Sargsyan has appointed today Georgi Kutoyan as new director of the National Security Service.
Kutoyan has replaced Gorik Hakobyan, who, according to a presidential decree, was released from the post and appointed as adviser to the head of state.
Kutoyan previously served as deputy prosecutor general of Armenia, and before that as assistant to the president of the republic.
Georgi Kutoyan was born in Yerevan, in 1981. In 2002 he graduated with honors from the Law Department of the Rostov State University in the Russian Federation. In 2005 concluded postgraduate studies at the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Armenian National Academy of Sciences.
In 2007 he graduated from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (Tufts University) at the US. Kutoyan speaks Russian, English, and French. He is married, with a son. -0-
