Germany attaches great importance to deepening multi-sectoral partnership with Armenia, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier stated during his meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Monday.

YEREVAN, March 31. /ARKA/. Germany attaches great importance to deepening multi-sectoral partnership with Armenia, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier stated during his meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Monday.

According to the government press service, Steinmeier highlighted promising cooperation in the fields of economy, investment, infrastructure development, energy, tourism, education, and culture.

The German President also expressed his country's support for the development of mutual Armenia-EU cooperation and the effective implementation of the Armenian government's reform agenda.
Pashinyan emphasized the active and strengthening cooperation between Armenia and Germany. He particularly noted Germany’s support for Armenia’s democratic reform program and thanked Steinmeier for his personal efforts in this regard.

Both sides stressed the importance of realizing the great potential for the consistent development and deepening of bilateral relations, which could be further enhanced by the intensification of human contacts. In this context, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of dialogue with the EU on visa liberalization.

Pashinyan and Steinmeier also stressed the significance of signing the Treaty on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan for ensuring peace and stability in the South Caucasus. Steinmeier reaffirmed Germany's support for the Armenian government’s peace agenda.
The two leaders also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest
