Government gives piece of land to chamber theatre for construction of new building

Armenian government decided today to allocate a part of the Armenian State Engineering University’s compound to the Yerevan State Chamber Theatre for construction of a new building.
YEREVAN, March 21. /ARKA/. Armenian government decided today to allocate a part of the Armenian State Engineering University’s compound to the Yerevan State Chamber Theatre for construction of a new building.
“This area that is not used by the university will enable the theatre to ensure its further development, to build new infrastructures and contribute to culture development in the capital city,” Education and Science Minister Armen Ashotyan said.
The Yerevan State Chamber Theatre was established on December 15, 1982.
Hundreds of performances have been shown here since then. The theatre has toured Moscow, Leningrad, Kiev, Riga, Tallinn, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Nantes, Budapest, Aleppo and other cities.
The theatre has awards of many prestigious festivals of Armenia, Russia, Sweden, France and Germany. ---0---
