YEREVAN, February 16. /ARKA/. Aram Harutyunyan, the head of the State Committee of Water Economy of Armenia, may leave his post soon, Zhoghovurd reports.
According to the newspaper, the thing is that officials of Kotayk social security service pocketed budget resources when he was this province’s governor, and there are many facts confirming this information.
After inspections conducted by the Control Chamber, the embezzled money was returned to the government budget under mediation of the current governor, Karo Guloyan, but according to the newspaper’s sources things didn’t put right because the crime was far larger.
Tsovinar Khachatryan, the press secretary of Harutyunyan, told the newspaper that the latter called rumors about his probable resignation a mere stupidity. --0---
