An international conference entitled “Security and cooperation in the South Caucasus” started in Yerevan Wednesday.

YEREVAN, December 18. /ARKA/. An international conference entitled “Security and cooperation in the South Caucasus” started in Yerevan Wednesday.
Director of Noravank science and education center Gagik Harutiunyan expressed hope at the opening ceremony ideas of cooperation to help establish peace in the region will be presented at the conference, along with the existing conflicts.
Executive director of PolitKontant center of political technologies (Russia) Andrey Medvedev thanked experts and reporters for their interest in the conference ahead of the New Year holidays and pointed to the full agenda of the event.
The conference aims at answering some questions as we live in a world where no answers are found to many question, Medvedev said.
The conference will take place from December 18 to 20 and will discuss prospects for creating regional security systems in the South Caucasus, Iran-Turkey relations amid the Syrian crisis, consequences of the Eurasian integration for greater Near East and the current status of Karabakh peace process and settlement prospects.
The conference is held by PolitKontact NGO (Russia) and Noravank science and education fund (Armenia). –0--
