YEREVAN, September 30. /ARКА/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Wednesday, the press service of the Armenian government reported.

It said the Iranian President expressed concern over the tension between Armenia and Azerbaijan- two countries neighboring Iran- and the ongoing hostilities in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.

Pashinyan was said to have spoken on the situation in the region  drawing Rouhani's attention to the fact of Turkey's direct involvement in the hostilities. The prime minister also provided some details on this issue.

As of September 29, Armenian forces killed 790 Azerbaijani soldiers, including 180 in the direction of Karvachar. To date, the Artsakh Defense Army has destroyed 7 Azerbaijani helicopters, 72 drones, 137 battle tanks and armored vehicles, one plane, 82 vehicles and 4 armored personnel carriers.

 According to Armenian sources, 84 Armenian soldiers were killed in the fighting since September 27 when Azerbaijan launched a large-scale offensive against Artsakh and several hundreds were wounded. -0-
