Karabakh president's spokesman names two principles necessary for the settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict
YEREVAN, November 25. /ARKA/. David Babayan, a spokesman for the president of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), named two very important principles, which he said are necessary for the settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict.

"Firstly, without resolving all political issues, including the issue of borders, without mutual recognition of Artsakh and Azerbaijan, humanitarian issues cannot be resolved," Babayan wrote in his Facebook post. Secondly, he noted, one cannot talk only about Azerbaijani refugees, ignoring the Armenian ones.

Babayan recalled that about 700 thousand Armenians left various settlements of Azerbaijan, including 350 thousand Armenians who lived in the capital Baku.

"There is also the problem of Northern Artsakh, from where hundreds of thousands of people were deported by the Azerbaijani authorities. Getashen, Chardakhlu, Shamkhor, Gandzak are just some of the cities and villages from where the Armenian population was deported. Shouldn't these people go back to their homes? Of course, they should," he said.

Babayan said  if one of these two principles is violated, then it will simply be impossible to achieve a comprehensive settlement of the conflict. -0-
