YEREVAN, August 27. /ARKA/. A memorandum is expected to be signed in September to expand the Armenian National Assembly's opportunities, Ararat Mirzoyan, Armenian parliament speaker, said Monday as he and his Swedish counterpart Andreas Norlen made a joint statement. "Sweden is the most important participant of this program," he said.
Mirzoyan said that opportunities for starting cooperation in IT industry, management of forest and water resources, renewable energy etc. are being discussed now. "These are those areas where Sweden's experience is actually an example to us," he said.
"There are many examples showing that a quite active dialogue has begun between our countries, particularly our parliaments, and I think it will be not exaggeration to say that our relations have reached a new level," he said.
Norlen, on his side, said that Sweden is ready to provide assistance to Armenia in democratic reforms. --0--
