Mnatsakanyan discusses with Mogherini issues relating to Armenia-EU relations

Armenian Acting Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan was hosted by EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini on Tuesday in Brussels, the press office of the Armenian foreign ministry reports.
YEREVAN, November 5. /ARKA/. Armenian Acting Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan was hosted by EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini on Tuesday in Brussels, the press office of the Armenian foreign ministry reports.
They discussed the upcoming early parliamentary elections in Armenia, which will take place on December 9.
Mnatsakanyan stressed that the new Armenian government displays its commitment and political will to effective application of the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement and it is taking practical steps in this direction.
Mnatsakanyan and Mogherini stressed the importance of the first Partnership Committee meeting that took place in November in Yerevan and laid groundwork for further comprehensive discussion on the road map for implementation of the agreement.
Federica Mogherini and Zohrab Mnatsakanyan discussed prospects for a settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in accordance with the principles and norms of international law.
The Armenian acting foreign minister presented the Armenian government’s achievements in implementation of the reforms promised to people.
Speaking about the upcoming early parliamentary elections, Mnatsakanyan stressed that fair elections are among the Armenian authorities’ top priorities.
He also singled out the information technology industry development among the government’s top-priority objectives.
Mnatsakanyan described the latest developments in the Karabakh conflict settlement process and stressed that Armenia remains steadfast in its determination to solve the problem under the OSCE Minsk Group’s mediation and by using only peaceful means.
