Mnatsakanyan, Jagland rank highly cooperation between Armenia and the Council of Europe

Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, who is now in New York for the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly, met yesterday with Council of Europe Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland, the press office of the Armenian foreign ministry reported on Friday.

YEREVAN, September 28. /ARKA/. Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, who is now in New York for the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly, met yesterday with Council of Europe Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland, the press office of the Armenian foreign ministry reported on Friday.
Mnatsakanyan and Jagland ranked highly cooperation between Armenia and the Council of Europe and discussed a number of issued related to the country’s involvement in the Council of Europe.
The Armenian foreign minister presented the latest political developments inside the country, including efforts to protect human rights, strengthen democracy and combat corruption.
He also presented Armenia’s stance on the Karabakh conflict settlement confirming the Armenia’s side’s determination to settle the conflict by peaceful means. -0---
