Montenegro plans to open a visa center in Armenia

A VFS Global visa center is planned to open in Armenia, where applications for Montenegrin visas will be available, the Montenegrin Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
YEREVAN, July 28. /ARKA/. A VFS Global visa center is planned to open in Armenia, where applications for Montenegrin visas will be available, the Montenegrin Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
The opening date and location of the center were not specified in the official announcement.
Currently, Armenian citizens require a visa to enter Montenegro, which can be obtained through the country's diplomatic and consular missions.
The announcement notes that after the network of visa centers opens, foreign citizens will be able to submit applications at the nearest VFS Global center, rather than necessarily in their country of citizenship. Thus, the center in Yerevan will be able to serve not only Armenian citizens but also applicants from other countries located in the republic.
In addition to Armenia, Montenegro plans to open new visa centers in Pakistan, China, Kazakhstan, the Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Belarus, Nepal, and Uzbekistan. The network is planned to be expanded to Jordan, Kuwait, Thailand, and Indonesia.
The Montenegrin Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the expansion of the visa center network is being carried out in parallel with the country's visa policy being aligned with that of the European Union.
On July 23, 2026, the Montenegrin government amended the visa regime, according to which, effective November 1, citizens of Russia, Belarus, China, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey will require a visa to enter the country.
