YEREVAN, February 19. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that the November 9 statement signed by Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia in 2020 (on cessation of hostilities in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone) does not say that the transport communications passing through Armenia should be controlled by Russia.

Speaking at a meeting with representatives of the Armenian community in Munich on Sunday, Pashinyan said that Article 9 of the statement (to which Russia refers) "says nothing about Russia controlling anything on Armenian territory."

Pashinyan added that all other paragraphs of the statement were essentially ripped up and thrown out by Azerbaijan and Russia in complete violation of their commitments.

He added that there are no Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh today, although the protection of Karabakhis was part of the obligations and purpose of the Russian peacekeeping troops stationed there. --0--
