In a comment on a statement made by Richard Hoagland, the outgoing US co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, reiterating the six elements which should be employed to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict (The Madrid Principles), Areg Galstyan, the head of The Armenian Interest thin tank, wrote in the Facebook that in the post-bipolar world, such institutions as the OSCE do not deal with conflict resolution, they have no clear-cut rules for the game and everything is chaotic.

YEREVAN, August 24. /ARKA/.
"For a long time, the co-chairing countries of the OSCE Minsk Group (Russia, USA and France) have been making the same statements: one must surrender some territories, return refugees, etc. All these statements are worthless and it makes no sense to analyze them," he wrote. According to him, one must be ready to take the necessary steps at the right time, proceeding from the national interests of Armenia.
"Today it is necessary to answer other important questions: Why is the US de facto not interested in the surrender of any territories (by Armenian forces) and how does the Armenian world needs to work with the current US administrations, in view of the strengthening alliance of Pens-Mattys-McMaster-Kelly-Pompeo ," he wrote.
Today it emerged that Hoagland has been replaced by Andrew Schofer. -0-
