Armenia's electricity trading market being liberalized

Speaking today at a discussion on the USAID-funded Market Liberalization and Electricity Trade (MLET) project, Garegin Baghramyan, the chairman of Armenia’s Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC), said an electronic electricity trading platform has been in operation since February 1 as part of the market reform, allowing new players to have a role in determining the electricity prices and promoting the harmonization of supply and demand.

OSCE has no clear-cut rules for resolving Karabakh conflict

In a comment on a statement made by Richard Hoagland, the outgoing US co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, reiterating the six elements which should be employed to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict (The Madrid Principles), Areg Galstyan, the head of The Armenian Interest thin tank, wrote in the Facebook that in the post-bipolar world, such institutions as the OSCE do not deal with conflict resolution, they have no clear-cut rules for the game and everything is chaotic.
