YEREVAN, June 23. /ARKA/. The Armenian government has created a working group to study the damage caused by recent hailstorms in several regions of the country.

According to a decision by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the group will study hailstorms that occurred in 2026, assess the quantitative and financial damage indicators, and analyze the use of anti-hail stations before and during hailstorms and their effectiveness.

The decision approved the composition of the working group, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan, who is instructed to submit a report on the results of the work to the Prime Minister within one week.

Severe hailstorms have recently hit several communities in the Lori, Gegharkunik, Shirak, and Tavush regions of Armenia. Damage was caused to houses, cars and other private property, as well as agricultural land.
