Pace co-rapporteurs to travel to Armenia soon

Giuseppe Galati (Italy) and Alan Meale (the United Kingdom), co-rapporteurs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), will visit Yerevan on November 22-23, PACE reports on its official website.

YEREVAN, November 22. /ARKA/. Giuseppe Galati (Italy) and Alan Meale (the United Kingdom), co-rapporteurs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), will visit Yerevan on November 22-23, PACE reports on its official website.
They will meet with Serzh Sargsyan, Armenian president, Karen Karapetyan, prime minister, Galust Sahakyan, speaker of the Armenian National Assembly, and Arpine Hovhannisyan, justice minister.
They are also set to meet with members of Armenia’s delegation to PACE, representatives of judicial institutions and Vladimir Gasparyan, chief of Armenian police, RIA Novosti reports.
Discussions will focus on the electoral reform, the 2017 parliamentary elections, the implementation of the constitutional reform and the reform of the police.
They will also discuss the establishment of an independent mechanism for considering complaints against the police. --0--
