YEREVAN, October 17. /ARKA/. Zhoghovurd media source’s political analysts don’t rule out that European organizations will find the results of snap parliamentary elections in Armenia illegitimate.
They think some political forces may file complaints, and this will give grounds to European organizations for thinking so.
According to the source, Armenian First Vice-Premier Ararat Mirzoyan will attend a session of Venice Commission on Friday.
Amendments to Armenia’s electoral code will be considered at the session, though the sending of these amendments to the Venice Commission was a mere formality, since this organization has no enough time to provide its conclusion.
This means that the amendments have been sent to the Venice Commission in compliance with necessary procedures, not for receiving its opinion.
In fact, the Armenian authorities are in a hurry to conduct the snap elections, and even the Venice Commission’s professional opinion can change nothing.
Justice Minister Artak Zeynalyan, said that the authorities are in such a hurry to put an end to the current force-majeur and anti-constitutional situation in the country as soon as possible. -0---
