YEREVAN, October 15. /ARKA/. The Paris City Council made an important decision last night, once again fixing the unbreakable friendship and strength of the Armenian-French privileged relationship, the Armenian Embassy in France said.
"By the unanimous decision of the City Council, one of the vast sections in the heart of Paris, located between the Alma and Invalides bridges, adjacent to the Seine River, was named after Armenia and received the sonorous name Esplanade d'Arménie," the embassy said.
It said also that the monument to Armenian composer Komitas, opened in 2004, and the Yerevan Garden, laid out in 2009 are within the Esplanade d'Arménie. -0-
