YEREVAN, October 10. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon exchanged views on further steps to give new impetus to trade and economic relations at a meeting in Dushanbe.

According to the government press service, Pashinyan noted that the Armenian authorities attach importance to expanding and deepening multi-sectoral ties with Tajikistan.
Rahmon stated that today's meeting is a good opportunity to discuss issues on the agenda aimed at further developing bilateral relations.

They touched on the opportunities opening up as a result of the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as issues of strengthening the atmosphere of cooperation in the region and the implementation of the TRIPP and Crossroads of Peace projects.

Rahmon welcomed the initialing of the peace agreement following the Washington meeting and expressed his country's support for the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.
