YEREVAN, April 10. /ARKA/. In Armenia, both the public and the government, including its officials lack knowledge and education, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during a government session on Thursday.

“We need to reflect on the knowledge deficit. What I’m saying today means that I/we have stayed in the same grade for seven years… I’ve remained in the first grade for seven years,” Pashinyan said.

He questioned why ordinary citizens lack knowledge.

“There is one reason, because we (the government – ed.) lack knowledge. We are the ones guiding these people, we are their leaders. And we are leading them toward poverty and ignorance,” he stated.

Last week, Prime Minister Pashinyan also said that the Armenian government is following a flawed personnel policy, noting that the country is facing a deep human resources crisis.
