YEREVAN, September 3. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that Armenia never intended to restrict tourist flow from Russia.
The day before, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova suggested that Armenia might introduce a visa regime for Russian citizens.
"Who even discussed such a matter? We never had such an intention. It never even crossed our minds," Pashinyan noted at a briefing on Thursday.
On the contrary, he said, Armenia is very pleased to welcome tourists from Russia, who actively promote this destination in the country.
"Armenian citizens welcome these people with pleasure and love. We think they feel comfortable in Armenia, which we are very happy about, just as we are happy to welcome other tourists from around the world," Pashinyan said.
