Pashinyan and Aliyev discuss peace agenda issues in bilateral format in St. Petersburg

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev discussed on Tuesday a set of issues related to the bilateral peace agenda in Russian St. Petersburg, Armenian PM's press secretary Nazeli Baghdasaryan told Armenpress.

YEREVAN, December 27. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev discussed on Tuesday a set of issues related to the bilateral peace agenda in Russian St. Petersburg, Armenian PM's press secretary Nazeli Baghdasaryan told Armenpress.

The bilateral meeting took place on the sidelines of an informal gathering of leaders of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member counties.

Earlier, Pashinyan stated Armenia's readiness to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan based on three major principles, which have been agreed upon.

They are mutual recognition by Armenia and Azerbaijan of each other's territorial integrity, demarcation and delimitation of the state border on the basis of the Alma-Ata Declaration and opening of all regional communications on the basis of mutual respect for sovereignty, jurisdiction and legislation of the countries.

On November 18, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that Yerevan had handed Baku its latest package of peace proposals , and on December 25, Armenian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Ani Badalyan said that Yerevan had received the package of peace proposal from Baku. -0-
