YEREVAN, April 26. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended today an event dedicated to the Day of Border Guards.

"The security of Armenia’s borders is the security of our future, the future of our children. The border is one of the most symbolic phenomena that can exist. Just one line, even a step beyond which you feel far from home, and one centimeter this way - you feel at home,’ he said during the event.

According to the prime minister, when it comes to Armenia, first of all, we mean the borders. "Because these borders define our place on the planet, our place under the Sun, our future. In this sense, the Day of the Border Guards is extremely important. Today, marking this day, we primarily mean the National Security Service and its Border Troops," said Pashinyan.

"In this sense, this holiday is the Day of the Border Guards. It is a holiday not only for the border troops of the National Security Service, but also for our Armed Forces, our people, because each of us, first of all, thinks about the border," Pashinyan said. He also expressed gratitude to the Russian border troops that ensure the security of the part of the Armenian border.

After the official part of the event, Pashinyan was shown new transport equipment, the production of which can be localized in Armenia. In particular, ATVs that can carry two people are proposed to be replaced with three-seater transport, equipped with machine-guns.

Pashinyan was also shown the center of drone control, as well as a mobile passport reading system, which, first of all, is intended for checking passengers of railway transport -0-
