President of Artsakh: We are open to resolution of all problems through negotiations with Azerbaijani side

YEREVAN, September 20. /ARKA/. In a video address released on Monday Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) President Arayik Harutyunyan said Artsakh was ready to resolve all problems with Azerbaijan through negotiations.
"We are open to resolution of all problems through negotiations with the Azerbaijani side, including humanitarian, security and infrastructure problems. We must understand that any problem that can be solved through negotiations should be solved through negotiations," he said.
According to Harutyunyan, regular contacts with the Azerbaijani side in the post-war period to search for missing persons, use of water resources, restoration and construction of infrastructure, organization of agricultural work, etc. are within this logic. He stressed that these contacts have nothing to do with Artsakh's status.
"With such steps we try to provide certain favorable conditions for the life of the people, taking into account the current realities," he said.
Harutyunyan also pointed out that it's impossible to provide the public with details of all such contacts since excessive publicity sometimes harms the process and the expected results.
The Artsakh President stated also that the Artsakh authorities have not crossed and will not cross any red line during such contacts with the Azerbaijani side; on the contrary, with their help they have managed to solve and prevent many big and small problems.
"We are ready to listen to any criticism, to learn lessons and advice, but we cannot show inaction for fear of condemnation. That would be a failure of political power and public administration. We, the authorities, must show courage and be ready for action. What is important is that our decisions and actions are based solely on the interest of the people and the Republic of Artsakh," he said.
Earlier on Monday Harutyunyan stated that any status within Azerbaijan is unacceptable for Artsakh. -0-
