Presidents of Armenia and iran emphasized the importance of implementation of right for peaceful use of nuclear energy

YEREVAN. December 24. /ARKA/. Presidents of Armenia and Iran Serzh Sargsyan and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad emphasize the importance of implementation of the right for peaceful use of nuclear energy by all the countries, including Iran and Armenia, press-service of Armenian President’s Office informs “The presidents emphasized the importance of the issue of non-distribution of weapons of mass destruction and regulation of nuclear problem of Iran through negotiations”, states the press-release.

 

Discussing the events in Middle East and North Africa, the parties emphasized the need of establishment of regional stability, peace and security, as well as legal rights of nations in the conditions of national solidarity.

 

They announced about the necessity of establishment of long-term peace in the region, strengthening of stability and security, mentioning the importance of deepening regional cooperation and making efforts to resolve conflicts.

 

Presidents of both countries also emphasized the necessity of peaceful regulation of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on the basis of standards and principles of international law.

 

Sargsyan and Ahmadinejad discussed also the problem of terrorism and organized crime, and expressed willingness to struggle with their threats in both bilateral and multilateral formats.—0—
