Presidents of Russia, USA and France call for immediate end to hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh

YEREVAN, October 1. /ARKA/. The Presidents of Russia, the United States and France issued a joint statement today on the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. The text of the statement is posted on the website of the Russian president.
"President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, President of the United States of America Donald Trump and President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron, representing the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries, condemn in the strongest terms the escalation of violence on the line of contact in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.
We mourn the victims and express our condolences to the families of those killed and wounded. We call for an immediate end to hostilities between the armed forces of the parties involved.
We also call on the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan to immediately undertake commitments in good faith and without setting preconditions to resume negotiations on the essence of the settlement with the assistance of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs,” the statement reads.
According to official Armenian military sources, Armenian troops have killed more than 1,200 Azerbaijani soldiers since the start of the aggression by Azerbaijan on September 27 morning, having wounded another 2,500. Armenian troops have also destroyed more than 180 units of various armored vehicles, 2 Smerch, Uragan, TOS-1 multiple rocket launchers, about 90 UAVs, 10 helicopters and 2 warplanes.
According to the defense ministries of Armenia and Artsakh, more than 100 Armenian servicemen have been killed in the fighting and several hundred have been wounded. Martial law and mobilization have been declared in Artsakh and Armenia. - 0--
