Putin congratulates Pashinyan on victory in parliamentary elections

Armenia’s acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday, the Armenian government press office reported.

YEREVAN, June 24. /ARKA/. Armenia’s acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday, the Armenian government press office reported.
It said Putin congratulated Pashinyan on the successful holding of early parliamentary elections and on Pashinyan’s Civil Contract party’s victory.
The two men were said to have touched upon the situation in the region and the implementation of the provisions of the trilateral statements of November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021. In this context, Pashinyan stressed the paramount importance of the return of Armenian prisoners of war held still in Azerbaijan.-0-.
