Putin’s visit proves strategic partnership with Armenia: Sargsyan
YEREVAN, December 9. /ARKA/. The recent visit of Russia’s president Putin to Armenia confirmed Yerevan and Moscow are in a strategic partnership, Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan said at a meeting in the ministry of environment.

The agreements signed open up opportunities for closer cooperation in economy, including energy sector, industry, jewelry and chemical production, and on security matters.

Opportunities are currently wider in agriculture as well, the president said adding exports to Russia rose by 25% in 2013.

“But we should ourselves carry out the opportunities in real life, work in a better organized manner to achieve results. If we fail to do this, we may be supported, but nobody will come to work instead of us”, the president said.

Sargsyan also said all advantages and disadvantages of Armenia’s accession to the Customs Union will be better seen after the negotiations are over. –0--
