Putin to meet with Pashinyan and Aliyev November 26 in Sochi

YEREVAN, November 26. /ARKA/. Russian President Vladimir Putin, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will meet in the southern Russian city of Sochi on November 26 to outline further steps to strengthen stability and establish peaceful life in Nagorno-Karabakh, Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported today, citing the Kremlin press service.
It said the leaders will look into the implementation of two statements they signed on November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021. Special attention will be paid to the restoration and development of trade, economic and transport ties, according to RIA Novosti.
It said also that apart from talks in the trilateral format Putin will hold separate talks with Pashinyan and Aliyev on November 26.
On November 19 it emerged that the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan will meet in Brussels in mid-December to discuss ways of overcoming tensions on their border. President Charles Michel of the European Council held phone calls on 19 November with President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia, in follow up to discussions earlier that week on the situation in the region and in the context of preparations of the Eastern Partnership Summit, to be held in Brussels on 15 December, the European Council said in a press release.
