YEREVAN, February 21, /ARKA/. Opposition Heritage party leader Raffi Hovannisian told several hundreds of his supporters who gathered today in front of the presidential residence in downtown Yerevan that he would unveil the outcome of his meeting with president-elect Serzh Sargsyan tomorrow at 5 pm when his supporters are expected to gather at Liberty Square for another demonstration to demand that Sargsyan hands the power to their leader.

Hovannisian, who has declared himself the rightful winner of the February 18 polls, demanded on Tuesday that Sargsyan come and meet and discuss with him “the transfer of power to the Armenian people.”  However, he and several hundreds of his supporters marched to the presidential residence today.

Speaking today to his supporters after meeting with Sargsyan, Hovanissian told them to go home as he had several important ‘diplomatic’ meetings.

The meeting with Sargsyan was closed for journalists. Only Hovanissian’s son and his personal cameraman were allowed into the residence.

According to the preliminary results of the polls, announced by the Central Election Commission (CEC), Serzh Sargsyan was reelected after garnering 58.64 percent of the vote, while Hovanissian gathered 36.74 percent of the vote. -0-
