YEREVAN, January 16. /ARKA/. Relations between Armenia and Iran can’t deteriorate no matter who rules these countries, Vardan Voskanyan, deputy head of the Yerevan State University’s oriental studies department, said Thursday at a news conference.
“It means if some high-ranking officials don’t take a crack-headed steps, there relations will not worsen,” he said.
The expert said that Iran is an accomplished state in which change of leadership can’t impact relations with neighboring countries.
Voskanyan expressed confidence that the two countries use relationship development capacity almost to its full extent.
“Of course, like other countries, Armenia and Iran don’t use 100% of this capacity, but use as much as possible,” he said.
He pointed out the West’s sanctions against Iran as the major obstacle affecting Armenian-Iranian relations. --0---
